The controller itself is rather uncomfortable to hold and the dpad is uttery atrocious. But what really breaks this pile of junk is the battery. After less than 6 months it won’t hold a charge, is inconsistent about even trying to charge using the included cable (the only way of charging it outside of buying a proprietary standalone charging unit), and has a loose fit with the controller that makes the contacts extremely problematic.

I’ve never seen such a poorly constructed game controller. It probably shouldn’t be surprising, coming from Microsoft, but it is terribly disappointing. Just stick with your standard rechargeable AAs. At least you’ll be able to use them with something else and they’ll last a heck of a lot longer than this junk. If you really need to play a 360 get the wired controller, it’s cheaper and you’ll just be plugging this one in all the time anyway.

Microsoft is the shadiest company on the planet. I swear they make these things with the intent of having them break like glass. It’s not like a wireless controller some new invention. They don’t even have the typical variety of colors, if you want anything but white and black, you need to buy a special edition xbox to go with it.

It’s about time they sell a red controller solo, but of course it’s not just the controller, you have to buy the charger kit that comes with it too. Yet I can’t get a replacement for my Halo edition green controller or buy any cool ‘ice’ controllers (see through chasis) which Sony has offered for over a decade. God forbid you try to mod the thing, M$ uses security pins in all the wireless controllers to prevent you from customizing or repairing the equipment you paid $50 for.

I’m glad I bought a 360 but it’s such a hassle to replace these crappy controllers after only a few short months. If there were any viable 3rd party option (Saitek is mostly a PC gamepad and MAdCatz has sucked for ages) I’d go with them in a heartbeat.

Not only is the controller I received not red but it seems to disconnect from the system periodically. Also, it’s not like I can just easily send this item back to actually get the correct color because I am a deployed soldier, thanks buddy. Merry Christmas.

The controller came in the mail in about a week and works fine. No complaints

it came in a package with bubble rap and nothing was wrong with it. I just miss my white controller because my keyboard is white.. Looks pritty stupid but it was a good buy. Also if you get the preview image i got then everything is in a red tint, its not. The top is black, the wires are grey and of course the finnish is red.
