Story and Gameplay
As the action begins players have their pick of four distinct character classes, and weapons, gadgets and specializations. Within these, players have over 15,000 kit variations to discover, and will be able to fine-tune their preferred fighting style to give them the edge in combat that they will need to survive and prevail. In addition, new vehicles like the all terrain vehicle (ATV) and the UH-60 transport helicopter allow for new tactics, which players are free to choose from. As players fight through mission play they will level up their playable character through the ranks as they accumulate experience points in combat for enemies eliminated and objectives completed. Excellence in the battlefield is rewarded with an extensive range of pins, insignias and stars to unlock along with 50 dedicated ranks to achieve. Battlefield 2 also features a major multiplayer component. Along with standard 24-player online multiplayer options across eight maps, players can also compete in 4-player teams in 2 exclusive squad-only game modes, fighting together to unlock exclusive team awards and achievements. During these online battles players can spawn on your squad to get straight into the action, and use gadgets such as the tracer dart in-conjunction with the RPG to devastating effect. Taken together these features make for one of the most realistic ground/vehicle combat experiences ever. The New Frostbite Engine Key Features

“The Best Tactical Multiplayer action on the planet”
Yeah, okay.
Party chat completely destroys the game.. it becomes impossible to create a strategy when your idiot squad are in party chat, by far the worst game I’ve ever played in my life. Enjoy being “tactical” and trying to take out a Tank when your team are in a party chat.
I only bought this for the $20 bonus thing.
Stick with Modern Warfare 2, by developers that know how to make games correctly.

multiplayer is horrendous if you are going to try and make a game based on team work at least let the players use the mic. Singular player is to short and multiplayer is useless what a waste of money.

I hate to just blatantly give 1 Star to this game but I purchased
it specifically for Split-Screen Multiplayer which this games lacks.
I suppose that you can say that I should have investigated the
gameplay options more thouroughly before I purchased and you’d be right.

The original Battlefield Bad Company was a great game in its own right. Bad Company 2 should have been made in a similar style but it was changed to be a MW 2 wannabe. It failed. Gone are the health injectors and wide open spaces. It is extremely easy to die in this new version, and checkpoint saves are few and far between, so you have to replay a good amount of each mission if you get killed. You can’t hit the dirt to avoid injury, or heal from wounds. The best you can do is kneel down behind cover (which can easily be blown away by the enemy). Your Ai teammates are useless in firefights and rely on you to lead the way. The gameplay is frustrating in single-player mode and feels more like a chore then a game. Frankly, I would rather mow the lawn then play this game. Overpriced and not fun!
