Michael Jordan, the greatest player in the history of team sports, gets an appropriate showcase with Ultimate Jordan, a two-disc set that’s the most feature-packed sports DVD to date. It includes five programs previously available on VHS–some of the most spectacular footage is on Come Fly with Me (1989), which covers Jordan’s youth, college years, and early NBA career. Michael Jordan’s Playground (1991) is, as the title suggests, more fanciful, combining highlight footage with a fictional story line and a music video, while Air Time (1993) takes us into the championship and Dream Team years. The more sobering Above and Beyond (1996) covers the death of Jordan’s father, his first retirement, and his baseball endeavors, and His Airness (1999) summarizes his career up through the famous final shot against the Utah Jazz. The numerous extra features collect various clips and highlights, but the best section is “Michael’s Great 8,” which provides 2.5- to 6-minute segments about significant Jordan games, including his 63 points against Boston in the 1986 playoffs and the 1997 “flu game” against Utah. This product was good quality and a nice price but the info that was given was not accurate. this product stated that there was some full basketball games,this was dissapointing for someone who enjoys the game itself this was a long highlight film that showed basically the same thing.

Those of you who are familiar with the hard to watch, chopped up games on the Chicago Bulls – Dynasty Discs will be happy to know that the games on the new Ultimate Jordan are complete from start to finish. They are from the original broadcasts, with the original broadcasters.

Michael Jordan is simply awesome. I love the fact that he emerged as the greatest basketball player of all time. Nonetheless, he had to prove himself over the years. Michael not making the high school team just woke up a sleeping giant. This edition is a must buy!!It includes Michael’s greatest games, highlights and comments from Michael’s teammates and the other players he tortured during his magnificient 14-year career.
